1.....all the others were coming from St. Ives. But how many were coming from St. Ives? 7 wives, 7 x 7 = 49 sacks, 49 x 7 = 343 cats, 343 x 7 = 2,401 kits:
7 + 49 + 343 + 2401 = 2,800.........+ the man........ = 2,801
